Enhanced 911 (E911)
We trust you have been enjoying all the benefits and features of Bright House Networks Home Phone. We'd like to make you aware of 911 requirements from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Your safety and security are of utmost concern to Bright House Networks. For that reason, it is important that you understand and acknowledge how our Enhanced 911 (E911) service works.
- E911 is designed to give emergency operators the exact location where urgent calls originate. These capabilities have been available to you since installation of Home Phone.
- Moving your modem from the original service address without notifying us could result in dispatching emergency services to the wrong location. Please contact Bright House Networks before moving the modem to a new address.
- If there is no dial tone due to an extended electrical power failure and/or a network outage, E911 services will not be available.
- If your Home Phone service is disconnected for any reason, E911 service will also be disconnected.
