Bright House Networks is pleased to present the Bright Futures program for students and educators in our service areas. Continuing our commitment to each of our local communities, the Bright Futures program seeks to reward outstanding students and teachers that are making a positive impact in their local schools and home towns.

Bright Futures Scholar Program

The Bright Futures Scholar Program is designed to recognize high school seniors in the Bright House Networks service area for their contributions to their schools and local communities. Bright Futures Scholars will be named based on community service activities, leadership skills and an essay describing the importance of leadership and community service. Bright Futures Scholar winners will be awarded a computer laptop (valued at $1,000). To qualify to be considered for the award, students must meet the following:

• Attend a high school in the Bright House Networks service area as a graduating senior
• Demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service involvement
• In addition to the completed application form, applicants must include a one page essay describing the importance of leadership and community service

Bright Futures Educator Grant Program

The Bright Futures Educators Grant Program designed to be an on-going program to assist with classroom needs. The Educators Grant Program is available to educators who teach K-12 curriculum at schools located within the Bright House Networks service area. Recipients will be awarded $500 to assist in their efforts to move students forward to a bright future through educational learning. Multiple grants will be awarded.

Educators wishing to be considered for the grant program must complete an application form, summarizing the need for additional funds in their classroom. There are no specific requirements regarding your need other than that the grant money be used to directly impact students.

All applications for the Bright Futures Educator Grant Program will be reviewed on an on-going basis. Grant recipients will be awarded up to $500 based on project need. Grantees will be notified within 30 days of receipt of application to Bright House Networks.
